Abstract. Without properly accounting for both fault kinematics and observations of a faulted surface, it is challenging to create 3D geological models units. Geometries where multiple faults interact, the surface geometry significantly deviate from flat plane interfaces are poorly characterised by sparse datasets particular challenges. There two existing approaches incorporating into modelling. One approach incorporates displacement description but does not incorporate in most cases will produce geologically unexpected results such as shrinking intrusions, fold hinges without offset layer thickness growth oblique faults. The second builds continuous faulting then applies kinematic operator displacement. Both have their strengths; however, neither can capture interaction within complicated networks, e.g. duplexes, flower structures listric because they either (1) impose an incorrect (not defined data) slip direction or (2) require over-sampled dataset that describes location. In this study, we integrate implicit using restore observations, model domain prior interpolating surface. This new build consistent with kinematics. Integrating directly allows complexly stratigraphy fault–fault interactions be modelled. Our shows significant improvement capturing geometries, especially intersection angle between varies (e.g. series) when modelling interacting (fault duplex).
